I am an academic specialising in alternative education and epistemically just research methodologies, with a particular focus on participatory approaches that centre the voices and lived experiences of young people. My work is grounded in a commitment to equity, representation, and access within education. I am particularly passionate about creating inclusive and just opportunities for those affected by conflict and displacement, and I am committed to widening access to higher education for underrepresented communities. Alongside my academic work, I bring a wealth of experience in both leading and contributing to a range of charitable initiatives. I strongly value community cohesion and advocate for decolonial approaches in both research and practice, with a focus on fostering meaningful and equitable participation. In my free time, I enjoy running or walking with my dog, reading, embroidery, and baking—often with the added pleasure of sharing what I make.
