A Landmark Partnership for Students from Gaza

We are proud to announce a landmark partnership between 80 PLUS and the University of Leicester to establish our first fully funded Master’s scholarship for a student from Gaza.

This partnership represents a significant milestone in the journey of 80 PLUS. It reflects a shared belief that education has the power to transform lives and that talented students from Gaza deserve the opportunity to continue their studies despite the immense challenges they have faced.

Through this partnership, the University of Leicester will generously provide a full tuition fee waiver for an eligible one-year, full-time, campus-based taught master’s programme. 80 PLUS is now raising the remaining funds needed to cover the scholar’s living costs, visa fees, the Immigration Health Surcharge, and travel.

We’re Almost There

The response from our supporters has been truly inspiring.

Together, we have already raised more than £7,500 towards our immediate target of £11,000. We are now within touching distance of reaching the fundraising milestone that will enable us to launch our first call for scholarship applications for talented students from Gaza.

However, our journey does not end there. We will continue fundraising towards our overall goal of £21,000, enabling us not only to fully support the Leicester scholar throughout their studies, but also to fund a scholarship for a student studying at a university in Gaza.
